Here I show you how to make freeze dried yogurt at home in less than 10 minutes. All you need are the 4 ingredients that I mention (plain yogurt works best), a freezer, one cookie sheet, and some wax paper. Make sure that the yogurt has no added whole fruits or it will not turn out. And when you freeze the water, place wax paper inside so you can easily remove the ice once it’s frozen.

At first, it took me weeks to perfect this, but soon, I was making it better than the Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts I was originally buying at the store. The first thing I noticed when I tried my own recipe, was that it was not nearly as sweet, but that was because it was plain yogurt. You can always add a little sugar or some kind of sweetener to make it taste to your liking. I found that if I use a flavored yogurt, then it usually is sweet enough after it’s freeze dried.

Another thing to mention is use small amounts at first because you will make mistakes but once you figure it out, you’ll be able to make larger batches and do it even quicker. Just make sure you give some space in your freezer to fit the cookie sheet.

Now, once you’ve learned how to make your own freeze dried yogurt snack, just sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor, and pop one of these in your mouth 🙂
