This chocolate flavored freeze dried yogurt is probably my favorite recipe that I’ve come up with so far. But, to be honest, anything with chocolate is my favorite, lol. There’s just something about yogurt and chocolate that makes my mouth water.
There really isn’t much to making these delicious treats. All you need to do is basically follow my original method and recipe, then just add some chocolate flavored Jell-O pudding at the end. Now, I don’t think it necessarily requires the Jell-O brand, you could probably use any chocolate flavored pudding maybe even a generic brand. The reason why I used it was because that’s what I had in the cupboard. What we want though, is to use just the powder to mix in. Not the finished pudding product.
As for how much of a package you should use, it really depends on how sweet you want the yogurt bites to be. I don’t really like my treats to be too sweet so I just used about a quarter to half a package of the powdered pudding mix to the required amount. Also, I’m not too sure if it would still turn out if you used the whole package. If any of you do try it out, please let me know in the comment section.
I’m sure this chocolate flavored freeze dried yogurt recipe will be a big hit with any kid. Just remember that adding chocolate pudding will increase the sugar content considerably, so keep it a treat and give it in moderation. Enjoy!
