Yummy! Strawberry flavored is another freeze dried yogurt recipe that I really enjoyed making… but not as much as I enjoyed eating it. Lol. These ones are as tempting as the store bought yogurt bites. It’s so hard to just stop at one…
Just like the chocolate flavor, this one is super easy to make. Just follow my general outline for the basic freeze dried yogurt, but at the end mix in Jell-O flavored strawberry mix. Again, you could probably use any strawberry gelatin mix, it probably doesn’t necessarily have to be the Jello-O brand.
The Jell-O mix can make it really sweet if you put too much, so keep that in mind. If you’re making the average amount, then you probably only need to use a quarter of a package to a maximum of half.
Once you’re done, you’ll get a really nice bright pink look that looks so nice. I guess it’s just the combination of the white from the yogurt and Jell-O mix. I’m sure if you use more Jell-O, it’ll turn a darker pink maybe even dark red.
My daughter says these strawberry flavored freeze dried yogurt is her favorite recipe that I’ve made yet. I’m sure most kids (and adults) will say the same thing. Give ’em a try and enjoy!
